Your House on Alicudi
Our first reaction as we approached the pier at Alicudi was to stare with wide eyes and mouth agape at the raw beauty of the island.
Gazing upward we can see the house of Fabrizios and we are amazed.
Since we took the early boat, we spent the afternoon having a picnic on the shore and swimming in the warm sea, taking care on the slippery rocks.
Bernie has already made many drawings.
We met friendly Michela to shop and she brought us up the stairs. Difficult but we knew there would be treasure at the top. And treasure it is.
Your home is unspeakably beautifulWe have been sitting everywhere, trying all the views.
Our dinner was outside watching the moon shining down like a spotlight on the sea.
We have been many places in the world but the peace of the sea and sky here is truly without compare.
We are lucky now that neighbors are not here. The only thing we hear now are the lapping waves and the bees tasting the late grapes.
The night was silent and before dawn, the fisherman could be heard going out to catch the fish we will be preparing tonight.
Everything here is a feast for our eyes and ears, all of our senses.
We've had all this in only one day and we are staying for 10.
