We arrived just as the siesta was coming but found a local restaurant, Panificio San Guiseppe that was gracious enough to make and serve us Pranzo.
The owner Signore Forte made us a delicious Bolognese!
We walked the streets and climbed the hills in the footsteps of our ancestors and our cousins who grew up here!
To their home and home of Zio Salvatore and Zia Maria.

To the places on the street were family member Don Gerlando Re a local priest stopped to help a person who was shot only to be shot and killed himself.

The church in Cianciana where Don Gerlando is honored to this day.

We then walked up to the very top of the town where there is a shrine and a 360 degree view of the mountains, hills and sea beyond Cianciana.
